Zipp sponsorship is closed for 2008
Zipp has received far more applications for sponsorship from event organizers, teams, clubs and individuals than ever before. It has been a difficult and daunting task to evaluate all the excellent entries. Our sincere thanks to everyone who sent in their applications for 2008 sponsorship. We have contacted all athletes who have been accepted. If you didn't make the cut - don't worry! We get MANY applications for sponsorship and must be highly selective in our decisions. We will again accept applications for 2009 sponsorship between October 1st and November 30th 2008.
Due to the large number of entries it will not be possible for us to notify applicants whom we are unable to sponsor - sorry. Thanks for your interest in Zipp!

Carbon brake lever and integrated shiftboss - now shipping
At 110g per pair the new VukaBrake's are the lightest, and only, all carbon plug-in style brakes on the market. The center-pull design routes the brake cables directly into the Vuka Bull, or most competitors, eliminating messy and potentially uncomfortable external cables. The blade-like lever utilizes that same super aero shape, and confident stopping feel as our VukaAero integrated aerobar system.
This patent pending, aero extension is made of full carbon construction with an integrated shift boss weighing in at a mere 65g. By bringing the expansion system required to install standard bar end shifters, and integrating the mounting boss into the bar construction, we have been able to eliminate 30mm of length from the end of the bar. What this means to the rider is no more cramped wrist positions! And no more getting out of aero position just to shift. For such a small product, this will make a really big difference at the end of your ride. Whether it is your local sprint, requiring many shifts, or your favorite 112 mile stretch of road, followed by a little jog. Your wrists, and bike splits will thank you.
