Exciting performances from Zipp athletes
Alexander and Carfrae take titles at St. Croix 70.3 Marinda Carfrae (riding a 404f 1080r) used the bike split to make up time lost on the swim and to put her in the lead for the run, a position she maintained for the rest of the race. Craig Alexander made his move on the run passing Cameron Brown who finished second. Matt Reed wins bike split at ITU World Championships, Richards Bay, South Africa Suring at the end of the bike split, Matt Reed was able to gain a 20 second advantage. This proved insufficient to win him the race as he was passed within the last kilometer on the run by Germany's Daniel Unger. This was the third weekend in a row on the podium for Reed after wins at Tuscaloosa and St. Anthony’s. McGlone wins third victory at Wildflower Samantha McGlone took her third overall victory at Wildflower proving once again her dominance of the hardest half Ironman course around.
