UCI World Cup victory for Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team

Das Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team won the UCI Women’s World Cup Team Time Trial in Vargarda (Sweden) and took the first World Cup victory of this season with an advantage of 1.13 min over next placed Team Columbia. Team Equipe Nürnberger Versicherungen finished third

The rehearsal for the Olympic Games succeeded. The team with three Olympic starters Priska Doppmann (SUI), Karin Thürig (SUI), Christiane Soeder (AUT) as well as three other strong riders Carla Ryan (AUS), Pascale Schnider (SUI) and Sarah Düster (GER) were driving on the 32 km course at an average speed of 49,3 km/h

The season highlight, the Olympic Games in Beijing will kick off soon. In total, four riders of the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team will start for their country at those games. Kristin Armstrong (USA), Priska Doppmann and Christiane Soeder will take part in the road race (10th of August) and in the time trial (13th of August). Karin Thürig is nominated for the time trial and the track.
