Terenzo Bozzone Wins 2008 Foster Grant Ironman® 70.3 World Championship on Zipp Wheels.
New Zealand’s Terenzo Bozzone smashed the course record to win the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, Florida on Saturday.
Terenzo arrived to T2 with the lead group, riding a Zipp 1080 front wheel and a Zipp Sub-9 rear wheel. He headed out of T2 with the lead and never looked back, setting a course record with a time of 3:40:10.
This marks the second consecutive year that the Ironman 70.3 World Championship was won on a Zipp Sub-9 disc. Last year Andy Potts matched the disc with an 808 front to capture the championship.
Other Zipp Athletes in the top 10 include: Oscar Galindez – 4th, Andy Potts – 6th, Luke McKenzie – 7th, Brent McMahon – 8th, Fraser Cartmell – 10th.
