Reed and Carfrae win Calfornia 70.3; Vanhoenacker sets Course Record; Macca Second in the Big Easy.

Zipp sponsored athlete Matty Reed (USA) won California Ironman 70.3 with a time of 3:51:50.  Andy Potts, also on Zipp Wheels, took second overall after setting a record time of 21:27 in the swim.  Mirinda Carfrae (AUS), also on Zipp Wheels won the women’s event with a time of 4:25:02.

Marino Vanhoenacker of Belgium and the Dresdner Kleinwortwon team won his debut race in South Africa with an outstanding performance and a new race record of 8:17:33  

Chris “Macca” McCormack finished second in the first Ochsner Ironman 70.3 New Orleans with a time of 03:54:33.
