Marian 7th at U.S. Collegiate Nationals; Sinead Miller Wins Road Title.FORT COLLINS, Colorado - The Marian College cycling team closed the 2009 USA Cycling Collegiate National Road Championships on Sunday with a seventh-place overall finish.
The Knights sat in eighth heading into the final day and earned a pair of sixth-place finishes in the team time trials to finish in seventh place.
The men's team time trial finished in sixth place after finishing with a time of 37:18.2, while the women's team also finished in sixth with a time of 43:17.5.
Freshman Adam Leibovitz (Indianapolis/Lawrence Central) earned a fifth-place finish in the men's overall individual omnium, and freshman Sinead Miller (South Park, Pennsylvania/South Park) finished in seventh in the women's overall omnium.
Miller became the first female rider in Marian College history to earn a road national title after she won the criterium on Saturday.
The Knights earned the MidWest Collegiate Cycling Conference team championship and were the Midwest Regional champion in 2009. Copy: marian.edu
