Fenn, Boonen finish fast on Firecrest

The Omega Pharma® – Quick-Step® rookie showed great promise last year by taking bronze in the Under-23 World Championship. This season – and it’s only February – Fenn scored his first two sprint victories in as many days at the Challenge Mallorca in Spain.
Meanwhile, Tom Boonen picked up a sprint stage win and kept the leader’s jersey at the Tour of Qatar.
Fenn, of Great Britain, won bunch sprints Sunday in the Trofeo Palma on Sunday and Monday in the Trofeo Migjorn. On Monday, the Omega Pharma® – Quick-Step® team helped to pull back a three man breakaway and then worked for 8 km to set up Fenn’s win. His win came on the dependable Zipp 404 Firecrest® wheels.

At the Tour of Qatar, veteran superstar Boonen roared to a Stage 1 victory Sunday riding a Specialized® outfitted with a 404 Firecrest front and 808 Firecrest rear wheels. The wheel choice is a savvy one for the fast and windy open courses of Qatar.
