Big results for Exergy TWENTY16 athletes

Huge victories abounded members of Team Exergy TWENTY16 in recent days. In Italy, Mara Abbott – racing for the USA Cycling National Development Program – was victorious in the Giro Rosa stage race. The Boulder, Colo., resident took the overall lead last Thursday when she soloed to first place in the 73.3km fifth stage. The race ran from June 30 to July 7.

Abbott’s USA Cycling squad included her Exergy TWENTY16 teammates Kristin McGrath, Andrea Dvorak and Lauren Tamayo. “Without USA Cycling this dream for Mara and her team would not have been possible,” Team Exergy TWENTY16 said.

At the 2013 USA Cycling Amateur & Para-cycling Road National Championships in Wisconsin, Kaitie Antonneau (Racine, Wis.) was victorious in the 87km U23 women’s road race and the 29km U23 women’s individual time trial. For the road race, Kaitie rode the durable and aero Zipp 303 Firecrest wheelset. In the time trial, she used a Zipp 650c disc in the rear and the new 404 650c Firecrest Carbon Clincher in the front.
