About Ben: 2012 will be Ben's sixth year racing as a professional. Ben started triathlon as a member of the University of Montana club team, and got serious about racing in 2006. After moving back to Colorado, he turned pro in 2007 and has been making steady progress ever since. Off the bike, Ben is an avid woodworker, ceramicist, and a bit of an oenophile.

Favorite SRAM product and why: Love the R2C TT shifters.
Favorite Zipp product and why: Still loving the ride quality, aerodynamics, stiffness, and light weight of the Super-9 Disc. There is not a faster wheel. Period. I would run one in the front if they’d let me!
Do you train with a SRAM-Quarq power meter? I use the Quarq on the time trial and road bikes for power training.
What is one surprising or helpful thing you learned about yourself from training and/or racing with power? I learned to be less reliant on perceived exertion, and to be controlled in my climbing efforts, especially over the Ironman® distance.
