Markus Fachbach

Brief Overview: Markus Fachbach is the youngster of the Commerzbank Triathlon Team. Shortly after his 25th birthday, the young athlete from Kadenbach in western Germany was able to gain 25th place in his debut in Hawaii in 2006. He qualified in his first Ironman race in Florida, where he gained international attention by coming third in 2005. In 2007 he took up Normann Stadler’s invitation to join his triathlon team, but a broken hand meant Fachbach wasn’t able to compete in Hawaii that year. In 2008 the business studies student made an impressive comeback at IronmanGermany, coming eighth.  In addition to his athletic activities, he studies business management at the University of Mainz.

Zipp products you use: 808 front and rear, 404 front, disc

Favorite Zipp product (and why): 808 front and disc. Why? It`s the fastest combination you can ride if it is not too windy. In Hawaii I prefer 404 front and 808 rear.
