Team Type 1 wins opening stage of Tour of Arkansas

Team Type 1's Valeriy Kobzarenko (left) riding Zipp 404's was joined by Eric Boily (Team Volkswagon) in a three-man breakaway that nearly made it to the finish in the opening stage of the Tour of Arkansas, however it was Glen Chadwick who rode to victory on the opening stage of the inaugural Tour of Arkansas Thursday .

Glen won the Epic Road Race, a 110-mile (177 km) race that featured 10,592 feet of climbing. Chadwick capped an extraordinary display of teamwork by Team Type 1 by attacking just as a three-rider breakaway that included teammate Valeriy Kobzarenko was being caught in the final mile. At that point, fewer than 30 riders remained in the pack, including six from Team Type 1.

Exciting performances from Zipp athletes

Alexander and Carfrae take titles at St. Croix 70.3

Marinda Carfrae (riding a 404f + 1080r) used the bike split to make up time lost on the swim and to put her in the lead for the run, a position she maintained for the rest of the race. Craig Alexander made his move on the run passing Cameron Brown who finished second.

Matt Reed wins bike split at ITU World Championships, Richards Bay, South Africa

Suring at the end of the bike split, Matt Reed was able to gain a 20 second advantage. This proved insufficient to win him the race as he was passed within the last kilometer on the run by Germany's Daniel Unger. This was the third weekend in a row on the podium for Reed after wins at Tuscaloosa and St. Anthony’s.

Karsten Kroon of CSC wins 48th Rund um den Henninger Turm - 1.HC

After winning this race last in 2004, this was Kroon's turn on the podium and a sip of that famous beer once again. Karsten wins a close sprint after being in a 9 man final break-away. Andy Schleck (CSC) helped Karsten to the win by keeping the pace high and preventing the pack catching the break-away.
