Rear: Sub-9 Front: 808 Although Lake Placid is a hilly, technical course, there’s really no downside to running a disc on a calm day. The Sub-9 will help you reach terminal velocity on the fast descents and the 808 is perfect for grunting over the climbs.

Rear: 1080 Front: 404 It’s tough to pick the perfect wheels for the Lake Placid course. If the Sub-9/808 combo isn’t for you, running a 1080/404 offers disc-like rear aerodynamics along with a lightweight front wheel for the varied terrain.

Rear: 1080 Front: 404 Lake Placid can be tricky even in perfect weather, so even the strongest riders might want a conservative wheelset for windy days. The 1080/404 combo keeps side force to a minimum with the benefit of low weight for climbing.

Rear: 808 Front: 303 Maintain total control on fast descents and fly over the climbs with an 808/303 setup. The 303’s light weight and low 44mm profile is always a good choice for smaller riders.
