Tangente Platinum Pro (silver) pads

Tangente Platinum Pro Brake Pads

The Zipp Tangente Platinum Pro Brake Pad delivers smooth speed control, longer wear life and reliable stopping power for use on carbon braking surfaces in all conditions.

Tour de France proven, the pad retains its stopping power in wet weather and provides a smooth ride during the many lighter brake touches required to navigate turns or group rides. The durable pad, developed by Zipp and SwissStop, has no abrasives that damage the rim. It also does not discolor rims.

The Tangente Platinum Pad is designed for use on carbon rims and has NOT been approved for use on aluminum braking surfaces. It is available for SRAM, Shimano or Campagnolo.

Clinchers with Al braking surfaces

We recommend the Zipp carbon/carbon pads for Al clinchers, as well as the standard SRAM and Shimano (black) rubber pads. SwissStop yellow can also be used on Al clinchers. Campagnolo brake pads tend to retain heat and are too aggressive. Pads containing ceramic materials should not be used with Zipp Al clinchers, due to their excessive abrasion.

Please note: Any time a pad is being switched between aluminum and carbon braking surfaces it is imperative to check the pad and remove (by filing, picking, or sanding) any aluminum shavings left in the pad.
