Warranty & ReturnsPlease note Zipp products bought through unauthorized dealers (eBay or otherwise) carry NO WARRANTY and are sold as-is. If you have any questions about locating authorized dealers, take a look at our online Dealer Locator, or give us a call at 800-346-2928. That being said, manufacturing problems are rare with Zipp product. Below are some suggestions for solving any problem that you might encounter. Our warranty for all products is 2 years against manufacturer's defects for all 2009 products, and one year from purchase for 2008 and all previous years. Eligibility for warranty is determined at the factory by the Zipp Returns personnel. If a manufacturing problem is determined within the 2-year range, we will repair or replace the product at no charge to you, as well as cover the return ground shipping. We do not offer refunds. Damaged products not covered under warranty due to accident, misuse, or just plain ol' bad luck are eligible for our liberal No Fault/Crash Replacement program for up to 5 years from date of purchase. All Zipp products have an intended purpose, if the product is used outside of that purpose, it will not be warranted and Zipp cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur in the process. Examples of misuse include, but are not limited to: mountain biking, tandem riding, and disc brake usage. Our products simply are not designed to withstand the forces generated by these activities. If you have any questions regarding a product's fitfulness for use, call us (800-346-2928); we will be glad to help. If you are experiencing a problem with a Zipp product, the first step you should take is to look at our maintenance tips under the technical information section of this web site. You may find a simple solution to your problem there. Otherwise, take your product to an authorized Zipp dealer for inspection. These are good people who will take good care of you – start a relationship with them! If the shop cannot complete the necessary repair, they can call us to receive a Return Authorization (RA) number, and send the product in for inspection/repair/replacement. The customer service rep will enter information on our computer system regarding your return. It is imperative that the shop keep this RA number for their records, as well as write it on the outside of the package. After inspection and warranty determination we will perform the necessary repair or replacement. Anything determined to be under warranty will be repaired free of charge; anything outside of this and within the 5-year range, will be covered under our previously mentioned No Fault Crash Replacement Program, which offers a highly discounted rate on a repair or replacement (pricing will be given to your authorized dealer). If you take advantage of this program, we will keep – and destroy – the old or damaged product. If you decide that you do not want us to repair or replace the product, you will need to cover the cost of returning the product to you (***Please note that we reserve the right to confiscate product deemed unsafe by our warranty department). If we do not receive a determination from you after 90 days from the receipt of your product at the factory, then the product becomes the property of Zipp/Compositech. Zipp will combine all usable, unclaimed products for sale at a local swap meet to benefit local non-profit cycling endeavors. NOTE: When sending in an item for warranty, PLEASE remove all accessory items, including tires, tubes, rim tape, cassettes, skewers, computer magnets, etc. If you fail to remove these items, we are not responsible if they are lost or damaged.
