CANYON//SRAM Powers Way to World TTT Title Aboard Special-Edition Super-9s

CANYON//SRAM rode as one singular unit of speed last weekend to capture the UCI Team Time Trial Women World Title in Innsbruck, Austria. The one unit, though, rolled to victory with a multi-color flare, thanks to some special Zipp Super-9 Disc wheels.

Alena Amialiusik (BLR), Alice and Hannah Barnes (UK), Elena Cecchini (IT), Lisa Klein (GER) and Trixi Worrack (GER) crossed the line together, with an average speed just under 53km/hour. The team rode Zipp 858 NSW Carbon Clincher front wheels paired with Super-9 Carbon Clincher Discs in special colors to commemorate Zipp’s founding 30 years ago. Beyond bright colors, the Super-9 Carbon Clincher takes advantage of  wide profile that runs virtually the same width from  brake track to hub to create an ultra aero wheel. To provide reliability and stopping power, our exclusive resin effectively tolerates the incredible spikes in heat caused by braking.

Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team, also riding Zipp, won the silver medal, 21 seconds behind CANYON//SRAM Racing.
